Children's Services Librarian - Randolph Public Library

The Randolph Township Free Public Library is seeing an energetic, innovative, proactive and customer-service oriented individual for the position of Children's Services Librarian.

This full-time position requires experience in programming, technology, collection development, and in providing excellent customer-service.  Our library is very busy and offers a variety of programs for children, teens, and families including story times, book clubs, science programs, arts & crafts, and special events.  Other responsibilities include children's and adult reference, public relations, flyer creation, readers' advisory, and social media updates.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Polaris, Evanced and e-book platforms is a plus.

The person we are seeking is a team player with excellent communication skills.  Previous experience as a children's librarian is required.

Qualifications/Requirements: 

MLS or MLIS from an ALA accredited institution and have (or be eligible for) a NJ Professional Librarian's certificate issued by the NJ Department of Education.  The schedule for this position is 35 hours per week, including regular evening, and regular Saturday coverage on a rotating basis.
