Information Technology Manager - East Brunswick Public Library

The East Brunswick Public Library seeks an Information Technology Manager to plan and manage library information technology infrastructure in coordination with the Library Director and department managers; direct and assist in the operation of the local area network, server infrastructure, and integrated library system; oversee staff and customer training in the use of library computer technology; oversee and participate in the design and administration of the library website and apps; evaluate and manage the purchase and installation of all library hardware, software, upgrades, peripherals, cabling, and implement the best utilization of existing equipment; oversee all library technology maintenance plans and support agreements; and oversee the daily operation of the Information Technology department and performance of department employees.
 
Qualifications/Requirements: 
The Information Technology Manager must have a thorough knowledge of local and wide area networks, server infrastructure, desktop and application support, internet connectivity, WiFi, and cellular communications. An understanding of integrated library systems, the functions and operation of library departments, and management experience are preferred. The Information Technology Manager must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and experience in network or systems administration. Library and management experience preferred.
