Librarian - Bayonne Free Public Library

The Bayonne Public Library is seeking a service-oriented, tech-savvy staff member to work within our busy Reference Department. The successful candidate must have experience with Microsoft Office applications as well as good troubleshooting skills with computers and other office equipment (printers, copiers, etc). Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills required.  Duties include providing reference service to a diverse, multicultural population and technology training for library patrons. In addition, we would like our newest staff member to have an interest or experience in planning programming for Young Adults.  Must be self-motivated and willing to take on new projects and duties as needed.

Cataloging and/or archival experience a plus.

Qualifications/Requirements: 

Candidate must have a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science. New graduates welcome. Hours include some evenings and every other Saturday.

Due to a local ordinance, the successful candidate must be willing to establish residency in the City of Bayonne.
