Programming/Reference Librarian - Fort Lee Free Public Library

The Fort Lee Public Library, serving two culturally diverse communities of over 40,000, seeks a dynamic and innovative librarian who possesses a strong interest in providing library programming for adults of all ages and customer driven reference and readers’ advisory services. The Programming/Reference Librarian will serve as the coordinator of adult programming, in addition to being a vital part of adult reference services team. This position will be involved in the planning, coordination and promoting of adult programs and performances by outside presenters as well as the planning and presentation of programming for adults such as crafting/maker programs and book discussion groups. All reference staff participate in drop in computer labs or computer skills classes for the public and support patrons in utilizing digital collections.

Education: MLS/MLIS; New Jersey Professional Librarian’s Certificate; matriculated MLS/MLIS students will be considered

Experience: Minimum 2 years professional public library experience, preferred
