Yesterday’s News for Today’s Technology: Exploring the New Jersey Digital Newspaper Project

The Library of Congress’ Chronicling America website offers digital access to hundreds of newspapers from across the United States. With a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the New Jersey Digital Newspaper Project is currently submitting 100,000 pages to this collection. Program speakers will discuss how digital newspapers are used for genealogy and historical research, standards for digitizing newspaper collections, and implementing a newspaper digitization program in your library.
