Full-Time Librarian (Adults)

Palisades Park Public Library is seeking a full-time librarian to manage technology, provide customer service, and develop programming. As a member of the Bergen County Cooperative Library System (BCCLS), the library is committed to providing excellent services to a vibrant and diverse community located in Palisades Park, New Jersey. https://www.palparklibrary.org/job-postings/

Responsibilities:

Provides excellent customer service through reference, computer help, and circulation
Coordinate technology by implementing new software and hardware, troubleshooting and managing support tickets for the library
Conduct technology training for patrons and staff
Develop and promote programming including outreach
Participate in collection development
Coordinates and collaborates with staff on library projects
Stays up to date with library and technology trends and participates in professional development opportunities
Works at least one evening a week and about one Saturday a month
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Library Science (MLS) or Library and Information Science (MLIS) from an ALA-accredited institution.
Strong technology background
Preferred Qualifications:

Fluency in Korean and/or Spanish languages
