Section Elections and Transition of Leadership

Section Elections

It's a good idea to start thinking about this process pretty early on. Here's a breakdown of the timeline (give or take a day for weekends or holidays).

  • February 1st - notices go out to section leaders to start asking members to fill leadership roles for the following year
  • March 1st - section leaders submit their slate to the office and the Nominations and Elections Committee
  • Third week of March - ballots arae distributed to section members and voting begins
  • April 1st - voting closes
  • Mid April - section leaders are notified of the election results
  • July 1st - new leadership takes over

 
The office or the Nominations and Elections committee will be in touch with section leaders throughout the process.
